Carlos Place

Carlos offers a specific form of residential treatment, focusing on a fully integrated dual diagnoses program. At Carlos, we treat substance use disorders as well as other mental health issues, such as anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and depression.

jacho_sealTo inform our treatments, we use the best Evidence Based Practices available, as well as the fully integrated ideas of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Our team is small and professional – everyone who works with us has a significant amount of addiction recovery experience. We only offer 6 residential places for men and 6 for women. The environment is low-stress and intimate to aid recovery and to minimize the likelihood of triggered behavior in our clients.

  • A location within ten minutes of various meeting clubhouses.
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interventions.
  • A non-clinical environment unlike a hospital.

The features of our Integrated Dual Program:

At Carlos, there are a variety of groups and services available, including core recovery therapies as well as physical and spiritual guidance.

Our treatments encourage our clients to nurture their body, mind and spirit. Addiction affects all three of these crucial things, so our treatments do too. To help our clients live happy, clean lives, we provide them with a structure environment that doesn’t make them feel like they’re ‘sick’. They may have experienced a great deal of stigma in the past due to their mental illness and substance abuse problems, but we don’t focus on what’s ‘wrong’ with them, we focus on how they can feel better.

Mental health is a key part of addiction recovery. Not only can substance abuse cause mental health problems, it can make them significantly worse. Withdrawal and recovery presents its own set of challenges too, so we focus on treating mental health problems as well as substance abuse problems throughout our clients’ stay with us.

We have worked really hard to maintain a really close-knit community atmosphere at Carlos, and those who stay with us often form lifelong friendships.

If you need your mind, body and spirit nurturing at Carlos, contact us today to make the first step towards sobriety.
