His House 9th Street
His House is a single-sex treatment program in Southern California’s Inland Empire. 45 minutes from the beach ad 30 minutes from Sierra Madre Mountains, His House is in a great spot for outdoor excursions and getting close to nature. We host lots of outdoor activities for our clients, such as hiking, festivals, picnics, swimming and sporting events.
A single sex environment can be really helpful for some people, and the men that we treat build great relationships and a sense of camaraderie during their time with us. There can be a great deal of pressure on men in our society to be strong and macho, and to not look inside themselves. This primarily involves not admitting when someone is causing them pain. At His House, the environment is open and non-judgmental, so the men that we treat can talk about their experiences and struggles without fear or shame.
There are 5 major airports within driving distance of His House (Los Angeles, Santa Ana, Palm Springs, San Diego, and Ontario), so we welcome people from all over the world to our facility.
It’s often advisable for people to seek treatment in a location away from home. The addiction they are trying to escape from can be a major reminder if they receive treatment in their hometown, or remain near friends they used to take drugs with. To get away can be extremely freeing, both physically and mentally.
His House has a very homely environment, and our main aim is to make everyone within our facility feel comfortable and peaceful. Recovery is a difficult undertaking and can be extremely stressful for many, so the environment in which they recover is paramount.
What does treatment at His House involve?
At His House, treatment involves the 12-step program of recovery. We run various groups and services to aid people’s recovery during their time with us.
Our treatment involves:
Individual addiction counseling
Our treatments are concerned with nurturing the mind, body and spirit. Addiction takes its toll on all three, so we treat all three. We provide yoga and spiritual therapies, expressive therapies like art and music, fitness and personal training, as well as the essential recovery therapies.
